Private Practice Award
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Private Practice Award, established in 2026, recognises the significant number of psychiatrists working in private practice, and the vital role they play in caring for our communities and contributing to RANZCP activities.
In particular, the Award recognises a significant contribution by a RANZCP Fellow to private practice psychiatry.
Eligibility
The RANZCP Private Practice Award recognises a Fellow of the RANZCP who has made an exceptional contribution to private practice psychiatry through excellence in clinical service, innovation, advocacy, entrepreneurship, leadership or community reach, acknowledging the diverse ways in which psychiatrists advance patient care and strengthen the private practice sector.
Nomination / application process
Applications or nominations for the RANZCP Private Practice Award may be made by RANZCP Fellows on their own behalf, or on their behalf by another RANZCP member.
Written applications or nominations must include:
- A curriculum vitae
- A cover letter setting out the contribution of the nominee to private practice psychiatry and rationale why they are deserving of this award, taking into account the Eligibility Criteria.
Key dates
Submissions are open annually, from 1 October to 30 November (11.59 pm AEDT).
