Adler Nurcombe Trainee Prize
The Adler Nurcombe Trainee Prize (the Award) honours Dr Robert Adler and Professor Barry Nurcombe who were instrumental in fostering the development of child and adolescent forensic psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand.

Eligibility criteria
The Prize is awarded to a RANZCP Associate Member (Trainee) or an Advanced Trainee in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and/or Forensic Psychiatry for the most outstanding paper or poster presented at the Section of Child and Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry conference.
To be eligible, members must be undertaking a Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and/or Forensic Psychiatry at the time of the scientific meeting of the Section of Child and Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry.
Application process
Associate Members (Trainee) or Advanced Trainees who are undertaking the relevant Certificate of Advanced Training, and whose abstracts are accepted for presentation at the Section of Child and Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry’s scientific meeting, will be automatically considered for the Prize.
Form of award
- A$500 to be spent attending a conference in the field of child and adolescent and/or forensic psychiatry
- Framed award certificate
- Invitation to accept the award at the College Ceremony during Congress
Key dates
Submissions are open annually, from 1 September to 31 October (11.59 pm AEDT).
