How to apply

There are two intakes a year; September and March.

Applications for the September 2026 intake are now open.

Complete the form below to be sent a unique link to the full application form.

• You will be invited to set up a RANZCP account, and then you will use those details to log in and apply for the Certificate and, if desired, the Scholarship.
• You will be charged a non-refundable $250 application fee to apply. VISA or Mastercard are accepted.
• You will receive email confirmation your application has been received by the College. Check junk or spam folders if confirmation doesn’t arrive in your inbox.
• Your application will be reviewed by the Certificate for Postgraduate Training in Clinical Psychiatry Committee.
• If prioritisation into the program is required, it will be based on the Certificate prioritisation guideline.
• You will receive the outcome of your application via email.

What you need to apply for the Certificate

Details of your qualifications and experience

• medical degree 
• medical registration 
• membership of a specialist medical college 
• patient opportunity 
• previous experience
• provision of care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander populations (if any) 

Signed declaration from your employer

Your employer needs to complete the declaration letter below to certify they are supportive of you completing the Certificate and to confirm that a RANZCP Certificate Supervisor is available to observe consultations for learning and assessment purposes.
