PIF members to 2025 RANZCP Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age Conference
Eligible PIF members are invited to apply for a sponsorship to attend the RANZCP Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age 2025 Conference, held in Fremantle at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges from Wednesday 12 November to Friday 14 November 2025.
Eligible PIF members must be:
medical students or postgraduate year 1 and 2 doctors or postgraduate year 3+ doctors excluding those who are trainees and Fellows of another speciality; and
residing Australia or New Zealand; and
a current PIF member or have an eligible PIF application pending.
Up to seven (7) sponsorships are on offer and include:
Full conference registration
Ticket to the welcome reception on Wednesday 12 November
Three (3) sponsorships are on offer for local WA PIF members.*
*Please note that travel and accommodation, where required, is not covered by this sponsorship and is the responsibility of the conference delegate
Four (4) sponsorships are on offer for interstate and New Zealand PIF members and includes travel support:
Australian PIF members (excl. WA): travel support up to $500AUD to cover travel and accommodation expenses.
New Zealand PIF members: travel support up to $1200NZD to cover travel and accommodation expenses.
Sponsorship recipients must attend the full program from Wednesday 12 November to Friday 14 November 2025.
Meals outside of the conference program are not included in this sponsorship for all sponsorship recipients.

This opportunity is made available by the RANZCP's Bi-national Committee of Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age.
The RANZCP has received Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funding for five scholarship places under the Psychiatry Workforce Program (PWP) to deliver the PIF Australia program.
The RANZCP has received funding for two scholarship places under the PIF New Zealand Program.

Scholarship applicants must meet the eligibility criteria outlined.
Scholarship offer (WA applicants) does not include travel, accommodation or meals outside of the conference program and are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
Travel grants (New Zealand applicants) will be offered to eligible scholarship applicants to cover travel and accommodation costs up to $1200NZD and reimbursed post- Conference attendance, upon the provision of supporting receipts/tax invoices. Travel grant does not include meals outside of the Conference program.
Travel grants (interstate applicants) will be offered to eligible scholarship applicants to cover travel and accommodation costs up to $500AUD and reimbursed post- Conference attendance, upon the provision of supporting receipts/tax invoices. Travel grant does not include meals outside of the Conference program.
Leave arrangement: Sponsorship recipients are required to attend the conference in full and are responsible for securing time off from study/work in order to attend.
Post-Conference reflection: Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a short reflection on their event attendance and learning outcomes, post-conference attendance.
Images and/or voices of attendees may be recorded during the Conference for use in RANZCP website, communications and media, including social media. If scholarship recipients do not wish for their image or voice to be publicised email to: pif@ranzcp.org.
