RANZCP Foundation PhD Scholarships
In 2025, the RANZCP Foundation is pleased to offer three PhD scholarships, including one RANZCP Foundation Partners PhD Scholarship and two Barnett PhD Scholarships.
Applications open 1 September and close 13 October, 2025.
The RANZCP Foundation Partners PhD Scholarship is designed to encourage and support PhD research in psychiatry by RANZCP members.
You may be at any stage of your PhD, and your research does not need to focus on a specific sub-specialty or area within psychiatry.
This scholarship is supported by the RANZCP Foundation and generous contributions from RANZCP Foundation Partners.
Value
One scholarship will be offered in 2025. Value up to A$60,000 per year.
Eligibility
To apply, you must be:
- a current RANZCP Fellow, Affiliate, or trainee
- enrolled, or provide evidence of future enrolment as a PhD candidate in psychiatric research at an Australian or Aotearoa New Zealand tertiary institution.
Use of funds
The Scholarship funds can be used for stipend support, research expenses or a combination of both.
