Section of Perinatal and Infant Psychiatry 2024 Conference
Eligible PIF members from Victoria are invited to apply for a sponsorship to attend the 2024 Section of Perinatal and Infant Psychiatry Conference, being held at RACV Healesville Country Club and Resort, VIC from Friday 14 June to Saturday 15 June 2024.
Eligible PIF members who are medical students and prevocational doctors (PGY 1, PGY 2) from Victoria are invited to apply for a scholarship.
Eligibility
Eligible PIF members must be:
- a current PIF member from Victoria
- a medical student or a junior doctor (PGY1/PGY2).
Two (2) sponsorships are on offer and include:
- Full conference registration.
- Tickets to the welcome reception.
- Sponsorship recipients must attend the full program.
Please note that travel and accommodation costs, where required, is not covered by this sponsorship and is the responsibility of the conference delegate to arrange and pay for these. Meals outside of the conference program are not included in this sponsorship.
How to apply
Applicants are required to submit a written statement up to a maximum of 150 words addressing the eligibility criteria as follows:
- Why you would like to attend this conference.
- How attendance at this conference may benefit and/or influence their medical career aspirations.

Applications close at 5pm AEST on Sunday 5 May. Late applications will not be accepted.
Photography and recording
Images and/or voices of attendees may be recorded during the conference for use in RANZCP website, communications and media, including social media. If you do not wish for your image or voice to be publicised please email pif@ranzcp.org.
Evaluation
Sponsorship recipients will be required to submit a short reflection on their attendance at the event.
Cancellation policy
Delegate Cancellation - Medical
The health and safety of conference attendees is our highest priority. The RANZCP is mindful of the health risks posed by COVID-19, and the importance of following official medical advice with respect to social distancing, practicing good hygiene and staying at home when unwell. The RANZCP requests that any delegate who is feeling unwell or has cold or flu like symptoms, or who may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, not attend the conference. If, on medical grounds, you are unable to attend the conference, you must contact the PIF Team in writing by email to pif@ranzcp.org.
Conference Cancellation
The SPIP may be required to make changes or cancel the Conference due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to Acts of God, terrorism, war, strikes or industrial action, fire, explosion, inevitable accident, breakdown of property, changes in law, or pandemics or global health crises. Due to the nature of the event, it may be reasonable to postpone the event to a later year and/or to change the location for the Conference. Any changes or postponement will be communicated to the sponsorship recipients.
Sponsorship recipients are required to make changes to their accommodation, in an event of Conference cancellation or postponement.
Insurance
Participants are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. The sponsorship and delegate registration fee do not provide any such insurance coverage. The PIF, Organising Committee and the Conference Office accept no responsibility for any loss in this regard.
Health and safety
All participants at the conference will be required to comply with the Health and Safety Guidelines and protocols in place with the venue/s and the conference which will be aligned and compliant with all relevant Commonwealth and state government health advice at that time. By registering for this event, the RANZCP reserves the right to provide your contact details to authorities for the purposes of contact tracing and any other relevant government requirements. Details of any relevant protocols and requirements will be communicated to delegates who will be bound by these requirements.
Privacy
The RANZCP will only collect personal information from individuals when it is reasonably necessary for the activities of the RANZCP, and all such collection will be subject to the RANZCP Privacy Policy and any other notifications.
Funding
This opportunity is made available by the RANZCP's Binational Committee of Section of Perinatal and Infant Psychiatry. The RANZCP has received Australian Government funding under the Psychiatry Workforce Program to deliver the PIF program.
