Incubator peer review groups
RANZCP Incubator Peer Review Groups are facilitated by an experienced Fellow and designed to support members who may find it challenging to join existing Peer Review Groups (PRGs) or establish a new one.
The incubator program provides a structured pathway to meet Section 2 (Formal Peer Review) CPD requirements, while helping members transition into a sustainable, ongoing Peer Review Group.
What’s involved
Incubator Peer Review Groups are:
- opt-in
- facilitated by an experienced RANZCP Fellow
- held online
- 60–90 minutes per session
- structured and confidential
- able to be claimed as CPD (Section 2).
Meeting frequency is determined by the group.
Groups will involve structured and confidential discussion of clinical cases, ethical issues and reflective practice.
Group size
A minimum of three RANZCP Fellows/Affiliates must be present for a session to constitute a valid Peer Review activity under college guidelines. But the aim is for groups to grow to a consistent cohort of around five to ten members.
Transitioning to a formal Peer Review Group
Once there is a consistent cohort, participants are supported to transition into a formally registered, self-sustaining Peer Review Group with the College. At this point, the group becomes independent.
Members can opt out if the group is not well aligned with their needs.
CPD requirements
The group facilitator will record attendance for each session in MyCPD.
Eligibility
In order to participate you must be a RANZCP:
