New education library launched to support trainee learning

A new online library of education and training resources has been curated by the College to help trainees build knowledge linked to graduate learning outcomes.

There are seven core Fellowship competencies trainees are expected to gain throughout the Fellowship Program. These competencies are based on the CanMEDS roles and cover the main roles expected of a contemporary psychiatrist.

The new education library is organised around the learning outcomes linked to each Fellowship competency. They include LearnIt modules, podcasts, position statements and clinical guidelines. The resources under each learning outcome are provided as a starting point, and do not reflect formal learning or assessment requirements.

The library features a search tool, allowing trainees to quickly locate relevant resources by keyword. It is designed to be a practical starting point for trainees to explore resources relevant to their interests and areas of study, while supporting the learning outcomes of the Fellowship Program.

Trainees are encouraged to explore the library and provide feedback by emailing amc.reporting@ranzcp.org to help ensure it remains a useful resource.
