Physical health outcomes in psychiatry are affected by mental health status and bodily health.

When active, a major mental illness can make it more challenging to optimally manage one’s physical health through standard pathways. Psychotropic medications help many in this regard but carry a separate side effect burden.

On top of this, our services are structured separately. How might we start to bridge the gaps across our systems to reduce health disadvantage?
