Ethics and conduct
As a Fellow, you are expected to uphold the RANZCP Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
CPD participation is a requirement for medical registration and annual recertification of medical practitioners in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
- You are automatically enrolled in the RANZCP CPD Program in the week following your admission to Fellowship.
- You need to complete 50 hours of CPD annually, across five sections.
- Your CPD requirements will be pro-rated in the year you are admitted to Fellowship, based on the number of months remaining in the CPD year. The number of hours you need to do per section is automatically adjusted in MyCPD to reflect this.
Orient yourself to the CPD program
Refer to the CPD program guide and the short guide for new Fellows for detailed instructions about how to meet your CPD requirements.
Complete the RANZCP CPD overview and requirements Learnit module for an overview of the program, how to use MyCPD and where to go for help.
Breaks and exemptions from CPD
Apply for an exemption from CPD when you take a break from practice.
Peer Review Groups
An easy way to meet your CPD requirements for formal peer review is to join a RANZCP Peer Review Group (PRG). PRGs are small, self-selected groups of peers who meet to review their work in a supportive setting.
We recommend joining a PRG in the early stages of Fellowship.
