Peer support program for rural, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainees
The RANZCP Peer Support Program is an informal support program available for rural trainees and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander trainees in Australia.
Eligibility
You are eligible to apply for the program if you:
• are a rural trainee (working in an MM 2-7 location) in Australia
or
• are a trainee who identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Peer matching
Under the program, trainees in Stage 1 are matched with peers in Stage 2 or 3 for informal, ongoing support.
When you submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), you can say how often you'd like to meet, your area of interests and what you're looking for in a peer.
Participants are matched based on the information provided in their application, subject to availability.
You are encouraged to keep meeting for as long as is useful and supportive.
How to apply
EOIs are open on a rolling basis in 2026.
