Pre-Budget Submission (PBS)
The RANZCP NSW Branch has prepared its 2019/20 Pre-Budget Submission (PBS) entitled ‘Make Mental Health Count’, and a PBS summary called ‘What’s Needed.’

Opinion editorial - Dr Angelo Virgona [PDF; 65KB]
The PBS highlights priority issues to improve the delivery of mental health services to the hundreds of thousands of people living with mental health conditions in NSW.
Containing 21 ‘asks’, our PBS seeks $150 million per year in additional investment to address current gaps in mental health services.
Globally, we’re advocating an extra investment of $500 million to get the mental health budget up to $2.6 billion, which is the amount needed to address the burden of disease caused by mental illness.
The PBS also provides a platform for the NSW Branch and its members to take our concerns directly to government and other major political parties in the lead up to next year’s state election and development of 2019/20 state budget.
