Ian Korbel is a psychiatrist who has worked as a staff specialist in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry in the Illawarra from 2002-2008. He has worked as a forensic psychiatrist in Justice Health since 2008 in the Statewide Community and Court Liaison Service and in the NSW Community Forensic Mental Health Service. He has been Chair of the Mental Health Medical Staff Council of Justice Health since 2024 and a NSW Branch Councillor for the Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation (ASMOF). He is the current Chair of the NSW Branch of the RANZCP.
