Ramsay Health Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Courses

The Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Course is an interactive program that aims to provide psychiatrists, psychiatry registrars and nurses with the evidence base, knowledge and practical tools for treating patients with ECT for depression and other disorders. 

The course comprises both theoretical and practical components covering the foundations of ECT treatment, latest research findings including insights into ultra-brief and bifrontal ECT as well as anaesthetic strategies to optimise treatment.

Course 1: 26–27 June 2026 (online) 

8 am–5 pm
17 hours total (two consecutive days of 8.5 hours each)

Course 2: 12–13 December 2026 (face-to-face, Sydney)

8 am–5 pm
17 hours total (two consecutive days of 8.5 hours each)

Note: This course requires a minimum number of participants to go ahead.
