Rural readiness workshops for trainees and SIMGs

The Rural Readiness Project is a three phased approach to rural readiness for psychiatry trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) as part of the Rural Psychiatry Roadmap 2021–31.
With a focus on establishing and expanding skills imperative for trainees and SIMGs to practice in a rural location, the project provides the opportunity for participants to network with fellow trainees early in their career to build connections with peers, regions, and communities that will sustain their Fellowship journey.
Seven rural readiness workshop are now confirmed, and up to 25 psychiatry trainees and SIMGs can participate in each workshop. Expression of interest forms will be available soon.
The Rural Readiness workshops offer an unprecedented opportunity to secure a funded place to participate in a unique training and preparedness experience, including travel and accommodation.
