Policy
The College has released a range of updated resources to help members navigate evolving areas of clinical practice, uphold ethical standards, and support evidence-informed care.
Developed to support Fellows and trainees in their day-to-day practice, the new and updated resources provide practical guidance on emerging clinical issues, ethical guidelines and the College's position on matters affecting psychiatry and mental health.
The Practice, Policy and Partnerships Committee has approved the following resources for publication and use:
- Best Practice Resource: Psychedelic assisted therapy – authorised prescriber guidance
- Ethical guideline: The relationship between psychiatrists and commercial organisations (combining the previous EG2 and EG5)
- Position Statements:
- Clinical Memorandum: Therapeutic use of medicinal cannabis products
Members are encouraged to explore the updated resources and consider how they can be applied in clinical practice, decision making and advocacy.
Visit the RANZCP clinical guidelines & publications library to access the full suite of publications.
