Accreditation of the College
AMC and MCNZ accreditation of the RANZCP
The RANZCP is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) to deliver specialist medical education and training, and professional development programs. This accreditation is mandatory for specialist medical colleges in Australia and New Zealand.
The AMC and the MCNZ work together to review bi-national training programs, using jointly agreed standards.
The College's programs were assessed in 2009 and have been accredited until 2015. The College's new training program was assessed in 2012 and has received in principle support for the program and the final outcome is pending (see submission below).
