28 Apr 2025
Update
New resources have been developed to provide supervisors with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively assess the performance of trainees and specialist international medical graduates.
Supervisor training for Observed Clinical Activity (OCA) and Independent Observed Clinical Activity (IOCA) is set to launch in May 2025.
Supervisors can now register for a training workshop from May 2025 onwards. More training workshops will be available to register for throughout the year.
The 2-hour, online workshop will be conducted by trained OCA / IOCA facilitators, and focus on establishing a shared understanding of rating processes while enhancing the quality and consistency of narrative feedback.
RANZCP Fellows and supervisors who wish to conduct an IOCA assessment starting in August 2025 are required to attend this training session to become accredited as an IOCA assessor.
For any questions or feedback regarding the training sessions, please contact clinicals@ranzcp.org.
