Approaches to working with people with BPD for psychiatrists

This workshop is to assist psychiatrists assess and work with people with BPD using psychological treatment principles. Evidence-based psychotherapy treatments, which have been limited to specialist clinics for many years, are now understood to be part of a common approach to BPD which can be delivered in a modified form by single practitioners in both private and public practice setting.

The Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Refresher/Advanced Course is an interactive program that aims to provide Psychiatrists, Psychiatry Registrars and Nurses with the evidence base, knowledge, and practical tools for treating patients with ECT for depression and other disorders. The course comprises both theoretical and practical components covering the foundations of ECT, latest research findings as well as anaesthetic strategies to optimise treatment.
