The RANZCP Section of Perinatal and Infant Psychiatry (SPIP) focuses on the mental health of infants and parents through the perinatal period.

Aims

This Section aims to:

  • promote the objectives of the College relating to perinatal and infant psychiatry
  • advise on training in perinatal and infant psychiatry
  • advance and disseminate research in perinatal and infant psychiatry
  • contribute to and promote the highest standards of clinical practice.

The Pat, Toni and Peter Kinsman Research Scholarship

Supported by a bequest from the Kinsman family, this scholarship supports and encourages research into postnatal depression in women in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The award of up to A$50,000 is available every two years.
