About For members

The Faculty of Psychotherapy (FPSY) promotes the highest standards in academic and clinical aspects of psychotherapy.

Psychotherapy is a therapeutic interaction between the practitioner and consumer, which is embedded in psychiatric practice.

The Faculty aims to:

  • promote the objectives of the College relating to the psychotherapies
  • advise on training in the psychotherapies through the subcommittee of advanced training
  • advance and disseminate research in the psychotherapies
  • contribute to and promote the highest standards of clinical practice.

Accredited membership

Accredited membership is available for members of the College who have completed the relevant Certificate of Advanced Training, or have equivalent experience in the field.
