Your Health In Mind website changes
14 Nov 2024
Update
The College’s Your Health In Mind website was launched seven years ago as a consumer resource providing expert information about mental illness, treatments, psychiatrists, and how to get help. Its Find a psychiatrist function is a popular feature attracting over 230,000 searches per year.
The College has been receiving feedback from both consumers and psychiatrists about the design of the search function, the descriptions of categories of care offered, and the practicality of some of the clinical fact sheets provided.
Some fact sheets will be archived, but key information such as the Find a psychiatrist search tool, what consumers can expect at an appointment and the difference between psychiatrists and psychologists will be retained.
A link to other mental health support services is provided on the site and this includes a range of fact sheets, videos and podcasts from pertinent organisations.
