Expressions of interest open for Rural Champions

RANZCP trainees or Fellows who are passionate about training or practising psychiatry in a rural location are invited to become Rural Champions.
Rural Champions is a RANZCP Rural Psychiatry Training Pathways (RPTP) initiative that aims to create and promote a positive rural and generalist Fellowship culture
With a desire to collaborate across the rural generalist workforce, Rural Champions will have a strong understanding of the RPTP and support in achieving its outcomes. Alongside the inaugural Rural Champions, Associate Professor Ravi Bhat AM and Professor Kane Vellar, Rural Champions will help shape a campaign of culture change across the RANZCP Membership.
Refer to the detailed role description and submit your nomination by 5 December 2025.
This initiative received funding by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing under the Psychiatry Workforce Program.
