New accreditation guidelines available - supporting trainees and supervisors

The RANZCP has published newly approved accreditation guidelines designed to support not only trainees and supervisors, but to also provide guidance for health services in relation to meeting the College’s accreditation standards. These documents reflect the College’s commitment to high standards and continuous improvement in education and training.
The new guidelines include:
Acute adult inpatient workloads guideline: Promoting balanced workloads and optimal learning environments.
Stage 1 trainees guideline: Setting clear expectations and robust support for those beginning their training journey.
Recommended Infrastructure for trainees in a rural location guideline: Addressing the unique needs of rural training sites to foster quality education and supervision, wherever training occurs.
These resources are now available online, offering practical guidance and clarity for trainees, supervisors, and training sites.
