The Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) have provided advice to the Australian Federal Government on the pricing of residential aged care services for older Australians. This includes the publication of the following documents:

• Residential Aged Care Pricing Advice 2023–24
• Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services 2023‒24
• Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services 2023‒24 Consultation Report

Last year, the College provided a submission to the IHACPA’s Towards an Aged Care Pricing Framework Consultation Paper consultation. This submission was developed in consultation with College Committees including the Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age (FPOA), and the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) Working Group.
