Meeting the NHMRC standards for clinical practice guideline

Update
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) have released Version 2.0 of the Procedures and Requirements for Meeting the NHMRC Standards for Clinical Practice Guidelines (Procedures and Requirements).
This latest version is applicable to clinical practice guidelines registered for NHMRC approval on or after 1 July 2025. The updated Procedures and Requirements implements key changes in several key areas, including:
- Support for living guidelines
- Greater emphasis on healthcare equity, public consultation, and clinical implementation
- Updated requirements for evidence review
Version 2.0 of the Procedures and Requirements is now available via the NHMRC’s website.
