COVID-19
In April, the Australian House of Representative’s Standing Committee on Health, Aged Care and Sport announced the release of the final report from their inquiry into long COVID and repeated COVID infections.
The report - Sick and tired: Casting a long shadow - aims to improve Australia’s response to long COVID, an often-debilitating condition possibly affecting hundreds of thousands of Australians.
The final report recognises the College’s submission, notably our emphasis on COVID-19’s association with poorer mental health outcomes, including conditions such as depression anxiety.
A Government response to the report will be presented in due course.
