New accreditation standards for training programs and posts webinar

The RANZCP is introducing new accreditation standards for training programs and posts, supported by a clear and consistent risk‑based framework.

The new standards, adopted by all specialist medical colleges, will create consistency, minimise duplication, and reduce confusion for health services managing multiple training programs. This standardised approach supports quality medical education, safeguards trainee and supervisor wellbeing, and allows flexibility for training settings to demonstrate excellence.

To help stakeholders prepare, information webinars for the Branch Training Committees and other key stakeholders responsible in the accreditation reviews of training posts will be held to outline the changes ahead of implementation.

Sessions will be held over September, October, and November.
