Section 4: Self-guided learningThe RANZCP Victorian Faculty of Psychotherapy together with The Melbourne Clinic invites Victorian members to the Annual David Ingamells Memorial Lecture given by Dr Shirley Prager AM.
The battles for psychotherapy in psychiatry - the importance of medical politics and medical organisations.
Bureaucrats at various levels of government often have difficulty understanding the value of psychiatric treatment and particularly the various modalities of psychiatric psychotherapy. Volunteering in psychiatric organisations and other medical organisations has enabled powerful strategies that benefit Australians.
Cost
There is no charge for RANZCP members to attend.

Dr Shirley Prager AM
Dr Shirley Prager AM is a retired senior psychiatrist who has held many positions in the RANZCP, including the RANZCP Council, Chair of the RANZCP Victorian Branch, Victorian Section of Psychotherapy, Executive of the Binational Faculty of Psychotherapy, and RANZCP Quality Assurance Committee.
Dr Prager is the cofounder of Peer Review Groups in the RANZCP.
She is the cofounder of National Association of Practising Psychiatrists (NAPP) and she has held positions in the Australian Medical Association and the Australian Doctors Federation (ADF).

Cancellation - change of mind
As this is a free event, no cancellation refunds apply. If you have registered and cannot attend, please let us know by sending an email to ranzcp.vic@ranzcp.org as soon as possible as seats are limited.
Cancellation - Medical
The health and safety of attendees is our highest priority. RANZCP requests that any attendee who is feeling unwell or has cold flu-like symptoms, not to attend the event.
