Megan Fitzgerald

Megan Fitzgerald is a barrister who specialises in health law and professional regulation. She has extensive experience in the coronial jurisdiction, appearing as counsel assisting and on behalf of interested parties, including health professionals and bereaved families. Many of the inquests Megan has appeared in involved deaths in the context of the provision of mental health care. 

Megan also acts for plaintiffs and defendants in medical negligence proceedings, as well as prosecuting and defending regulatory proceedings by the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner and the various health practitioner Boards. 

Megan holds a Graduate Diploma of Health and Medical Law from the University of Melbourne.
