Dr Mark Hall
Dr Mark Hall is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead with the WA Fixated Threat Assessment Centre, providing specialist mental health assessment and consultation for individuals who display fixated behavior, may be at risk of engaging in grievance-fueled violence, or may be at risk of radicalisation to violent extremism. Until recently, Dr Hall also worked with the WA Department of Justice to provide and supervise clinical mental health services to a range of imprisoned mentally disordered offenders, and high-risk or high-profile offenders. Dr Hall regularly provides independent expert advice to the Courts, releasing authorities, the Coroner, and legal practitioners in relation to all aspects of forensic psychiatry. He has been trained in the use of tools relevant to risk and threat assessment, and has extensive experience giving evidence in the Supreme Court involving risk assessment of violent and sexual offenders, the insanity defence, and fitness to stand trial. Dr Hall is also trained in behavioural aspects of criminal investigative analysis including offender profiling, case linkage analysis, crime scene behavioural analysis and equivocal death analysis.
