Jenny Jordan
Jenny Jordan is an associate professor in the Department of Psychological Medicine, University of Otago, Christchurch, New Zealand, and a clinical psychologist for Te Whatu Ora – Waitaha (Health New Zealand - Canterbury. Her research speciality is clinical research for mental health conditions, including comparative psychotherapy trials for eating and mood disorders and related research.
She was an investigator, therapist, and co-developer of SSCM, a psychotherapy developed at the University of Otago, Christchurch for the original Anorexia Nervosa Treatment Study. SSCM, originally designed as an active control therapy, has proven effective in multiple trials, and is now included as an evidence-based therapy for adults with anorexia nervosa in practice guidelines. Jenny has authored and co-authored four chapters and three papers about SSCM and has delivered many SSCM training workshops within New Zealand and internationally.
