Update
The College is inviting Fellows willing to contribute 3–4 hours every three months to become Certificate supervisors. Opportunities to assist include supervising participants, facilitating Peer Review Groups, and helping with structured feedback activities.
Overview of the Certificate
The Certificate of Postgraduate Training in Clinical Psychiatry is designed to strengthen the skills of medical professionals working in mental health, supporting safer and higher-quality patient care. Its primary aim is to build participants’ confidence and clinical capability, enabling them to offer more effective support to patients, families and communities. Through the program, participants apply informed, practice-based clinical approaches that contribute to confident and capable patient care.
Benefits for Fellows
College Fellows are an integral part of the Certificate program, providing valuable support to participants as they develop and apply effective clinical practices within their workplaces. This guidance enables participants to manage patients more confidently, while allowing Fellows to focus on those with higher-level intervention needs. In recognition of their contribution, Fellows are eligible to claim CPD points and receive an honorarium.
