History, Philosophy and Ethics - an analysis and critique of the movie Nuremberg
You may think you know about the post WW2 Nuremberg trials, but this historical drama by James Vanderbilt opens the door to much deeper reflection regarding the role of the psychiatrist in the service of the patient and in the broader social context.
Dr. Karin Myhill will present her critique and analysis of the some of the ethical considerations and issues that emerge during this film starring Russell Crowe, Rami Malek and Leo Woodall which maintains subtle, sustained tension and exposes details of the Nuremberg trials that may not be well known.
Fellows are invited to participate in a thought provoking session which examines the ethical principles that underpin our profession as psychiatrists and raises even further questions about current world events and our ability to learn from history.
The health and safety of attendees is our highest priority. RANZCP SA requests that if you are unwell or have cold or flu like symptoms, or who may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, do not attend.
Cancellation Policy: There is no cancellation refund as this is a free event. If you cannot attend and have registered, please let us know as there are limited numbers.
