We welcome you to the RANZCP NZ Faculty of Old Age Conference being held at the Fable Hotel, Auckland, from midday Thursday 18 June to 4 pm Friday 19 June 2026.

We welcome NZ Psychiatry of Old Age Faculty members as well as those interested in old age psychiatry, GPs and geriatricians to register.

• Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 - overview of key issues and recommendations for reform.
• Recommended reforms relating to decision-making capacity, its assessment and its role in decision-making arrangements.

Professor Kate Diesfeld
Professor of Law, School of Public Health and Interprofessional Studies Auckland University of Technology

Presenting: 

• Decision-making capacity law developments in Aotearoa New Zealand.
