The Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Examination comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Critical Analysis Problems (CAPs). This examination will cover foundational knowledge in psychiatry sampled from the Stage 1 and Stage 2 syllabuses. This will include areas of knowledge such as (but not limited to) neuroscience, pharmacotherapy, experimental design and critical analysis, history and philosophy of psychiatry, common psychiatric presentations and principles of key psychotherapies.
Duration
The examination is 190 minutes in duration.
The total marks allocated are 180.
Location
All candidates will be required to undertake this examination on a computer at a Pearson VUE testing centre.
