2024 International Conference of Asia, Asia-Pacific, SAARC and Middle East Psychiatric Federations

We warmly welcome you to join this international congress ,to be held on June 1-2, 2024, at Intercontinental Hotel, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We all agree that psychiatry is having rapid advances especially during the last decade, and during the Covid pandemic and post covid times, in Asia, Asia-Pacific and Middle East, we especially have responded with a great energy to fight the Mental Health consequences of this epidemic in variety of ways more uniquely in comparison to many western countries. We showed good resilience and have unique methods of coping and adopting newer ways to help our patients recover well.

It is now right time that we meet and discuss and update our knowledge and bring in new innovations. The theme of the conference is “frontiers in psychiatry” thus refers with a special relevance to our regions. Asian Federation of Psychiatric Association (AFPA), Southeast Asian Regional Psychiatric Federation (SPF) and various Middle East Psychiatric organizations have joined to organize this important conference. We are grateful to our local hosts who have always been famous for their hospitality and have organized several regional & international conferences with great success. Similarly all organizing groups come with their key role in promoting mental health and have an expertise to organize many academic meetings in their respective regions.

The scientific programme will have pre-conference workshops and advanced educational sessions along with plenary lectures, symposia, seminars and sessions for skill development and knowledge. World renowned experts will share their research in special state of the art sessions, and we would encourage young trainees in Psychiatry and allied specialties, early career psychiatrists, and medical students who have a special interest in Psychiatry & mental health for oral presentation of free papers, and poster presentations.

Abu Dhabi is indeed a lovely place with inspiring heritage, sightseeing with desert rides and a perfect holiday spot. Desert culture and middle east cuisine along with Asian food culinary tasting will be added attraction for many of us.
