VPTC Supervisor Feedback Report

The Victorian Psychiatry Training Committee (VPTC) Supervisor Feedback Report 2024–2025 highlights the invaluable contribution supervisors make to the success of the Victorian Psychiatry Training Program. Based on confidential trainee feedback collected across four surveys conducted throughout 2024 and 2025, the report provides an overview of supervisor performance across six key domains: teaching, communication, clinical leadership, mentoring, commitment to the supervision process, and commitment to the training program.

The findings demonstrate that Victorian supervisors are consistently recognised for their dedication, expertise and support, with the overwhelming majority of ratings falling within the "outstanding" or "strong performance" categories.

As the inaugural report of its kind, it celebrates the vital role supervisors play in fostering high-quality psychiatric training while supporting ongoing reflection, recognition and continuous improvement.

The next report is expected to be made available in July 2027.
