Jason Frost
Profile

Jason Frost
On his medical discharge, Jason was diagnosed with; Lumbar Spondylosis, Degenerative Disk Disease, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Adjustment Disorder. Then later; Major Depressive Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury (from repetitive trauma), Erectile Dysfunction, and Chronic Pain.
Over years of worsening injuries, Jason was prescribed powerful and addictive cocktails of the latest pharmaceuticals, leaving him in the full-time care of his wife. This lead to many side effects, major cognitive decline, memory loss, societal disconnection, serotonin syndrome, and suicidal behaviours. Jason would often have uncontrollable outbursts of destructive rage, followed by days of brain and nervous system inflammation, loss of cognitive function and nighttime seizures. This led to marriage breakdown, isolation, destructive, suicidal behaviours and porn addiction.
After a string of life-threatening episodes in 2019 - 2021, Jason began utilising medicinal cannabis, a treatment supported by the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) for pain and mental health. He was able to reduce his reliance on most pharmaceuticals and other destructive addictions. Jason's new focus was on holistic health; nutrition, vitamins, minerals, exercise and meditation. Jason had positive outcomes managing and healing from traumas and addictions by combining; Medicinal Cannabis containing THC, Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing and psychotherapy. In 2022 Jason began trials on the Revive Ketamine Infusion program supported by DVA. This has been significant for Jason's ongoing rehabilitation, combining this treatment with adjunct psychiatric support, and healthy routine, has shown incredible improvements in Jason's mental health, cognition and his connection with family and loved ones.
Today, Jason is the President of Defence Shed Wagga Wagga, a not for profit providing workshop skills and training to veterans and first responders in the region. Jason is also a board member, and one of the founders of the Pro Patria Centre Wagga Wagga, a unique, grass roots, multidisciplinary community medical Centre. Jason's years of volunteering and advocacy on veteran issues, has seen him recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow, and receive a prestigious NSW Government Community Service Award.
