College journals offer free open access publishing for university-affiliated authors
26 Jun 2023
Corresponding authors with university affiliations can now publish open access articles in the College's prestigious journals, the Australian & New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry (ANZJP) and Australasian Psychiatry (AP) at no cost. There is no special action required from authors submitting to College journals as the eligibility will be picked up automatically in the production process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
This initiative has been made possible through a new agreement between SAGE Publishing, the publisher of the College journals, and the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL), offering the following advantages:
• Subscription journals: Corresponding authors publishing an article in ANZJP, AP or any one of 900+ subscription journals can be published open access (SAGE Choice), free of charge.
• Gold open access journals: Corresponding authors publishing an article in a Gold open access journal will receive a 20% discount.

RANZCP members are encouraged to take advantage of this exciting new opportunity and expand the reach and impact of their work by submitting their articles to Australasian Psychiatry or the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry.
