The RANZCP Foundation is now making this material freely available to all members.
The RANZCP Foundation is the College charity where funds are raised to support new scholarships, grants and programs.

Assessment and diagnosis
Professor David Coghill
In this session David first describes the current understanding around the prevalence of ADHD and rates of recognition and treatment in Australia. He then discussed the recommended approaches to assessment of ADHD in children, youth and adults. In the second half of the presentation, he explored the impact of ADHD on functioning and the relationships between ADHD and other mental health disorders
Pharmacotherapy
Dr Roger Paterson
Roger will endeavour to teach the basics of medication prescribing for ADHD throughout the life span so that clinicians will feel comfortable working through the hierarchy of available medications, the type and dosage, which will suit an individual patient. They will need to understand that the main medications have state and Medicare restrictions and these will be outlined also. Frequency of monitoring will be discussed.
ADHD with comorbid substance use disorder
Dr Karruppiah Jagadheesan
This session will help to understand the nature and type of substance use comorbidities in ADHD, the challenges in assessment and treatment and an overview of management plan.
