What does the current evidence tell us?

This webinar was facilitated by NPS MedicineWise and RANZCP's Section of Youth Mental Health.

This webinar discussed strategies for increasing engagement, shared decision making and safety planning, the place of lifestyle interventions, psychological therapies including digital options and the appropriate use of medicines will be discussed.

A key focus included the current evidence base of prescribing SSRIs for young people with depression and anxiety. The panel will also consider non-medicine management options and how to tailor mental health management plans to an individual young person’s needs and preferences.

The webinar included insights from the lived experience of young people, and the opportunity to provide questions to the panel.
