How to get full-text access to RANZCP journals online

If you are a RANZCP member and are having difficulty accessing full-text Australasian Psychiatry and ANZJP articles online, follow these step-by-step instructions to gain access:

  1. Go to https://www.ranzcp.org/publications/ranzcp-journals
  2. Log in using your RANZCP Member ID and password
  3. Select the journal you would like to read and click the member access link.
  4. On clicking the link, you will be passed through to the SAGE website. You are automatically signed in by the referring URL. This means the webpage you have just come from is what determines access to SAGE.

Other tips
  • If you attempt to navigate directly to Australasian Psychiatry or ANZJP (e.g. from the SAGE website, via Google or by clicking on a link in the Table of Contents email alert from SAGE), you will not be authenticated and therefore will only be able to view abstracts, not full-text content.
  • Do not try to sign in directly on the SAGE website. You do not need to create a SAGE account. Access to the online versions of Australasian Psychiatry and ANZJP is controlled solely via your RANZCP member log-in to the RANZCP website: https://www.ranzcp.org/publications/ranzcp-journals.
  • Check that you are using the latest browser version (Chrome, Safari, etc.) on your computer/device. This site provides an easy way to tell:

Australasian Psychiatry print subscription

Australasian Psychiatry is now in a predominantly online format. However, if you would prefer to read a hard copy of the journal, it’s not too late to complete the order form (available at http://bit.ly/APYprint) for a 2019 print subscription (6 issues).

The order form should be emailed to SAGE Publishing in the UK at membership@sagepub.co.uk. Once SAGE receives your order form, it will be processed and you will be sent the first issue of 2019 (February).

A print subscription for 2019 (6 issues) costs GB£50 (approximately A$90/NZ$90), which will be converted to your local currency at the exchange rate current at the time your order is processed.

If you choose to opt in to an annual print subscription later on in 2019, you will receive backdated issues of all of the 2019 issues of Australasian Psychiatry from earlier in the year.
