NBMLHD Mental Health service Psychiatry
Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the above position in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Mental Health service.
This permanent position will provide clinical services and clinical leadership to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services within CYMHS and incorporates a clinical lead role.
Successful applicants will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the NBMLHD service. This position is based in CYMHS which provides specialist child, adolescent and youth mental health services across Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains and Lithgow LGAs. CYMHS provides an assessment and therapy team (A&T), an assertive response outreach team (ARO) and an early psychosis team (EPI), as negotiated and may be required to work across the NBMLHD.
Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 6 months, will be considered. If successful, the applicant will not be subsequently eligible to commence their appointment until after the relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed.
Successful applicants may be offered a conjoint university appointment within the Faculty of Medicine at the relevant University attached to each facility. The level of academic appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and scholarship and will be held only during the tenure of the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District appointment. No remuneration is attached to the University appointment. The appointee will be responsible to the University for academic matters and to the District for clinical matters
It is expected that this position participate in the on call roster outside these allocated hours. Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
