At the annual RANZCP AGM last week, President Associate Professor John Allan welcomed the new Elected Directors on the Board – Associate Professor Neeraj Gill and Associate Professor Beth Kotze, who join existing Board Directors Dr Elizabeth Moore, Dr Sue Mackersey and Dr Nick O’Connor.
Associate Professor Neeraj Gill is a psychiatrist at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service and Clinical Lead for mental health at the School of Medicine, Griffith University, Gold Coast. He is adjunct Associate Professor at the Rural Clinical School, The University of Queensland, is also a member of the Queensland Mental Health Review Tribunal and joins us after 14 years as a Fellow of the College.
Dr Kotzé is currently the Director of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Sydney Local Health District. She has held senior executive, leadership and management positions over more than twenty years during which time she has contributed to mental health service development, mental health policy, psychiatry education and practice. Her areas of clinical practice include perinatal, child, adolescent and youth, psychotherapy and impaired practitioners.
On behalf of the College, special thanks go to two long-standing Board members whose terms have concluded. Dr Peter Jenkins and Dr Margaret Aimer have both served on the Board with distinction since 2013 and have provided outstanding contributions to the College. Thank you for their years of hard work and dedication to the College and contributing to our vision.
