The Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System has announced that submissions are now open.
There are two ways to make a submission to the Commission:
- provide a formal submission by 5 July by uploading or sending a written, audio or video submission (including any supporting documents) in response to 11 key questions relating to the Commission's terms of reference. You can choose to respond to some or all of the questions.
- share brief comments by 20 May in response to five key questions relating to the Commission's terms of reference. You can choose to respond to some or all of the questions.
The Victorian Branch will be providing a formal submission on behalf of all members and is committed to getting your views through the online survey (now closed) and member forum to be held on 25 May.
Your support is crucial to this and we encourage you to use these opportunities to provide input into the Victorian Branch’s response.
A member forum is being held on morning of Saturday 25 May at the RANZCP Melbourne office.
The forum will provide an opportunity for you to provide input on what should be the key features of a modern mental health system to inform submissions and representations the Victorian Branch makes on behalf of members.
You will receive an invite to the forum shortly by email. We hope that you will be able to participate.
The online survey has now closed; thank you to everyone who completed the survey. 146 members took the opportunity to share their views, which are now being collated to inform the Victorian Branch’s submission.
