The new Professional Practice Guideline: Administration of repetitive transcranial direct current stimulation (rTMS) outlines a best practice approach that psychiatrists should consider when prescribing and administering rTMS.

It is essential for all services delivering rTMS to have systems in place for monitoring of efficacy, outcomes and treatment-related adverse effects of treatment.
