The College congratulates Professor Helen Milroy and Professor Gordon Parker AO for being named as finalists for the 2020 Australian Mental Health Prize.
Established in 2016, the Australian Mental Health Prize recognises Australians who have made significant contributions to the promotion, prevention or treatment of mental illness.
Professor Helen Milroy has held numerous positions on state and national mental health advisory committees and boards, with a particular focus on child and adolescent mental health. With a long list of achievements, contributions and experience, Professor Milroy is more than deserving of this recognition.
Professor Gordon Parker AO, founder of the Black Dog Institute, is known for his innovative strategies and work in the area of mood disorders with a passionate focus on destigmatisation. With 23 published books and over 1,000 scientific reports and decades dedicated to psychiatry, Professor Parker AO is more than deserving of this recognition.
