We are aware of increasing concerns amongst members relating to the escalating social isolation measures being imposed on our communities in Australia and New Zealand that have resulted in the cancellation of the College Congress. This is a rapidly changing situation that has potential for significant risk to our members.
In particular, some members are concerned about how this may adversely impact on their ability to meet the requirements of the CPD program.
To support our members during this challenging time the College has agreed to immediately extend the reporting period for the 2019 CPD program until midnight Monday 20 April, 2020. This will allow members an additional three weeks to complete recording of activities in their 2019 CPD record.
In addition, the RANZCP is also currently considering a range of options for the 2020 CPD program. At the present time you should continue with your CPD plan as far as possible whilst observing any advice from the relevant government authority regarding travel and meetings. Remember that much of your Section 4 requirements (Self -guided learning) can continue to be met through professional reading, podcasts, Learnit modules etc.
Further communication and advice regarding CPD for 2020 will occur as soon as possible. If you have any queries, please contact Ms Anita Hill, Manager CPD via email at email@example.com
