Tēnā koutou katoa
We know your email accounts are bursting at the seams and do not wish to overburden you with communications at this incredibly busy time. We will not be sending many emails, but just want you to know how to get hold of us – and that we are here if you need us.
The New Zealand National Office is working remotely but at reduced capacity. The office will continue to support you and the NZ-based committees. It may take a little longer for a staff member to get back to you, so we appreciate your patience and understanding. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. You can contact the office by email email@example.com or by telephone on 04 472 7247.
You can also stay informed of College-wide decisions and their implementations by visiting the College’s COVID-19 information page.
We would like to thank you for your continued hard work in the sector. We work with some of the most vulnerable people in Aotearoa and, as we move into uncharted territory, people will need our support even more. We know many of you want to do something to help. Tu Te Akaaka Roa will work with the Ministry of Health, assisting them in developing a psycho-social response to COVID-19 and its ongoing impacts. We will work collaboratively and in a co-ordinated manner to ensure those in need receive clear and consistent advice.
The College President, Associate Professor John Allan, has also offered words of support to NZ members. 'Whilst our members are based in many different countries, we all have the same aims and face similar challenges during this pandemic. The Board and I appreciate all of the efforts you are making, as we all juggle the immediate needs of our patients while continuing other work for College committees and in the mental health sector.'
Working together and supporting each other, we will get through this.
Ka ora pea au i a koe
Ka ora koe i a au
Perhaps I survive because of you and
You survive because of me.
Do the right things; stay at home, stay in your bubble!
